14 Days of Prayer - Day 7

DAY 7: SUNDAY

OUR CHURCH BODY

Read: Eph 4:10-13, 15-16 NIV

10 He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) 11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. ... 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Pray:

•Ask God for a collective heart that cares about doing good, showing mercy and walking humbly with God.

•Pray for a growing awareness of God and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.

•Ask God to increase our generosity both financially and with our time.

•Pray that we will have creative ideas as we serve our local communities and schools.

•Ask God to show us ways to include more people who are looking for the support of a community group but are currently not connected.

Pastor Gregory's prayer for you:

Heavenly Father, you are amazing and we thank you for giving us gifts and talents. We ask that you show us how to be generous with them, how to use them and how to help serve in the church. Every single one of us are part of the amazing body called the church and I pray that each person begins to effectively adminster their gift in Transform Church. Its your church and its your people, do your work in your body. We thank you now in Jesus name!
