Glow Mission - Day 9

In the morning we were heading off to Pasay City, before we left we had our final farewells to friends and family that we met up with. After a two hour ride in a squashed van we arrived in a very hot day in a crowded Manila city.

As soon as we checked into the place that we were staying at for the night Pastor Don was there to pick us up. There was no rest for us Pastor Don and Jay picked us up in a van to go to Cavite where we were going to minister to the kids.

The route that we took to get there was very narrow and dangerous even for experienced drivers. The street the van went through was so narrow that the sides of the van were almost touching the wall on both sides. With good nagaviting from our driver we got through. When we arrived at Cavite we were greeted with friendly smiles and singing from the kids. The youth also sung a few praise and worship songs with the children. They were full of energy and are always smiling.

After the songs were finished, we had an Easter egg hunt which we organized for the children, they really enjoyed it. After that Apo did some face painting for the kids, we taught them how to play ninja and they played a game, their sores or injuries were given medical attention and they were given glow sticks. We stayed there until evening when the sun set over the horizon.

I think the children of Cavite and the members of our youth were very blessed today. Some of us got to treat the sores for the kids, some got to play with them and one of the youth members even got to share to someone. Over all it was a great day.
